ALEX HANSON
| Birthdate : November 7, 1990 Hometown : Kensett, Iowa Pit Crew : Mike & Levi Hanson Car : 2008 Dirtworks - Genesis Alex started racing at age 11 (2002) in the Junior Sportsman class in go karts. Over the next four years Alex moved up to Junior I & Junior II classes as he raced go karts at Forest City Iowa, Blue Earth Minnesota and other tracks in Iowa and Wisconsin. In 2005 Alex raced both the go kart and the Junior Hornet class. That year at age 14 he won the track championship in the Junior Hornet class at the I-35 Speedway in Mason City, Iowa. In 2006 he moved up to a 360 Modified and had three feature wins! In 2007 he moved up to the IMCA Modified division and started the season by participating in the Texas World Dirt Track Championship at the Texas Motor Speedway in March 2007. The year was ended with Rookie of the Year honors at both the I-35 Speedway in Mason City, Iowa and the Hancock Co. Speedway in Britt, Iowa. In 2008 the racing season started by attending the IceBowl at the Talladega Short Track in Alabama. Alex finished 2nd in his qualifying heat to earn a place in the main championship modified event. He started 7th in the 24 car championship race and finished 4th. |
